Plain texts may be fine for some people, but us creatives sometimes just want to stylize and edit those grey and blue/green blurbs! The creators of Notegraphy have made our dreams possible! They have designed a free app that can instantly transform your plain texts into beautifully designed images. The app has been described as “the Instagram for text”.

Users can insert their text into a variety of already-made design collections by famous designers. The app also allows users to insert their own logo and tagline into the design for a more personal touch. Once the design is finished, the user can share it with friends via social media, or save it to their phone for later.

What Sparks our Fire:  An app that makes sharing our thoughts with friends beautiful and easy!

3D Print Your Dinner

Foodini

As if 3D printing isn’t revolutionary enough, our world is now being introduced to 3D printers reinventing the way we cook and eat. The Foodini helps create savory or sweet cuisine. The food is real food, made from fresh ingredients prepared before printing. The device only prints the food, which must be cooked as usual after. The Foodini promotes cooking at home with fresh ingredients & healthy eating, which in today’s society is easily neglected.

Foodini is revolutionizing the way users interact with kitchen appliances. The front has a touchscreen that connects to a recipe site in the cloud, says Lynette Kucsma, co-founder of Natural Machines. She also claims users will be able to control the device using a smartphone and share their recipes with others.

What Sparks our Fire:  An appliance that makes preparing healthy food easy, and interactive.

A Pen That Brings Your Notes To Life

photo8As much as we love our devices, we do find that some of our best ideas come out of our impromptu meetings where we are literally putting pen to paper. After those inspired sessions, we spend a few hours transcribing the analog chicken scratch on the backs of our napkins back into our digital realities.  But what if the notes we were taking in our meetings were being transferred into our calendars on our phones, or were being made email ready? The Livescribe Echo Smartpen connects to your tablet or smartphone, connecting your hand drawn notes with your calendar, notes, and other apps. It also allows you to record audio while you’re taking notes, and then play them back later.
