What would happen if Viking Range Kitchen Appliances created their very own smartphones? Check out what we came up with after the jump!

Viking Range Corporation is a company that specializes in high-end kitchen appliances. These appliances are to reflect the ‘professional’ kitchen and are mostly sold to those who consider themselves chefs. Their appliances are designed with stainless steel, come in 23 different color options, and have very hard, clean edges. The design structures of the appliances are clean and simple, yet still look highly sophisticated. Viking Range is a truly premium brand. Keeping all this in mind, we came up with an idea for a line of smartphones…

Introducing Viking Range’s Sous-Chef:  

The Sous-Chef is the smartphone made specially for chefs everywhere. This ultralight, ultra-thin phone is made specially for the kitchen; meaning it is 100% waterproof, super durable and unbreakable, and has a  long-lasting battery (along with a solar power backup).

What makes this touch-screen smartphone different from other smart phones? Well, because cell phones are the new toy in the kitchen, it comes exclusively with applications for the chef of the house. The “Viking Kitchen Pro” application is a learning device that allows cooks to follow recipes while cooking, hands-free! While cooking, the Viking Kitchen Pro speaks to you the next step, and doesn’t move on to the next recipe step until you give the command. That way, you can keep your hands and concentration on the meal you are cooking instead of continuously fumbling for the recipe on your phone. The Viking Pro app also allows you to keep shopping lists for meals, gives tips in the kitchen, and keeps tabs on recipes that you have made or would like to make in the future.

The Sous-Chef also comes with a special dock that comes with speakers and microphone that can be magnetically attached to any appliance surface in your kitchen:

This dock not only charges your Sous-Chef, but it also gives you the capability to keep your phone hands-free while you are cooking. You can talk on the phone through the dock’s speaker & microphone from across the room, or command it to play music in the kitchen.

The Sous-Chef also comes with a special voice-activated assistant named “Pierre.” In the “Ask Pierre” app, Pierre can give you information about anything about food and the kitchen, where to find the best ingredients in your area, and so much more.

Oh, and did we mention the phones come in 23 different colors, just like Viking’s kitchen appliances?
